CGI MODELLING ARTWORK

CONSTITUTION CLASS REFIT No Trek modellers collection would ever be complete without this ship, the Constitution Refit (first seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture), After languishing on the WIP page for so long, I finally got round to resuming it in several long dedicated sittings. Most of the modelling is complete, and it's been a challenge, because, of all the ships in Star Trek this is the most familiar and well known, and to pass the acid test, no liberties, short cuts or artistic license can be taken; it has to be perfect. Take that as a tuppence worth of free advice: if you want to attempt the Connie, you have to be spot on, otherwise even the half-trained eye will know at once, so be warned, your efforts will be in vain. This is why this model has taken so long, but after a brief search for detailed reference material and a few days of frenzied work to wrap it up, I've at last reached the texture stage... (now for a few tedious days in Photoshop...)
No effects, no backdrop, no textures... but check back for updates
...And here is the update - this ship is about finished
