THE SALADIN, AND HERMES CLASS

Here are some of the TOS era variants to the Constitution Class.The Saladin Class Destroyer is almost identical to the Hermes Class Scout, but here's a few pics of the two anyway...

The Saladin

SALADIN CLASS (Destroyer)

A single nacelle design. Perhaps an early ancestor of the Freedom Class....?

This ship, as well as the Ptolemy are considered canon - at least by the majority. They first appeared in the Starfleet Tech Manual, but have also been seen on a computer display in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. So that clinches canon status for me...

Three TOS era ships here. On the left is the familiar Constitution, in the middle the Saladin, and on the right, a speculative ship which I call, funnily enough, the Paladin.

HERMES CLASS (Scout)

This is the Hermes Class, again from the Starfleet Technical Manual. it's virtually identical to the Saladin, except it has inferior arms
