FREEDOM CLASS

Granted, this is a peculiar class of ship, and some may call it downright ugly, for this seemingly violates the cardinal rule of no single nacelle ships. But it is canon nonetheless, and it's model was filmed...

The shot above is from the graveyard scene in 'The Best of Both Worlds'. Here, the USS Firebrand appears to have suffered heavy damage, losing most of the saucer. Here's a drawn up version, whose schematics derive from the Star Trek Fact Files..

So this canon Freedom Class design was not going to be a particularly tough model to build, but I'm still not entirely happy about the existence of single nacelle ships in the fleet. 

Here's a few angles of the Firebrand (using the same scene background/setup).
