CGI MODELLING ARTWORK

OBERTH CLASS This is a recent model of Oberth Class. It's only the Constitution Refit I have to do now, and all pre-TNG canon designs would've been done.
This is pretty much the full bulk of the ship now in place, but I have had a number of teething problems...
Everything seemed okay up until the texturing and rendering stage. I then noticed some problems with the saucer.
If you look closely at the bottom and very top of the saucer, just by the upper ring of windows there seems to be an aliasing problem. It looks like the surface is white and stepped, but it isn't, it's a dark colour. It appears as though there's a modelling fault on this surface and these poly errors only shows up in a render. All attempts to correct this part of the model have failed. I'm unsure of what the cause is, it's most likely a fault caused by the original Boolean operation to inset that part of the upper saucer. Now, I may have to rebuild the saucer from scratch, the only textures used are the grey panelling, so rebuilding means redoing all the name and registry text, the red rings and windows. D'oh!
Here's a couple of basic ones with some of the original mesh problems cleared up.
