STAR CLASS

This was initially an inquiry into the possibility of a 'Constellation Class family'. Such families exist for other contemporaries, such as Constitution, Excelsior and Miranda. So this is what this little project is about, and I would suspect that the Constellation would be more the smaller, lesser offshoot of the class of ship that started the family in the first place.

This was the basic study mesh, which formed the basic shape I had in mind.

A bit of a kitbash, but Starfleet kitbashes its own ships anyway. I intend it to be to the Constellation what the Galaxy is to the New Orleans. It is fundamentally a Constellation Class contemporary, but a slightly larger forerunner.

This high res (306K) image on the left shows its progress, and gives you an idea of scale alongside the USS Constellation. On the right an updated image, with a slightly redressed bridge module and other small details.
