When I think of Kirk or Picard starting each episode with "Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages...." I try to imagine what sentence Janeway could say at the beginning of Voyager. Would it be something like:

"The Delta Quadrant, the complete and utter final frontier. These are the 'enterprises' of the starship Voyager, it's sudden 70 year mission (give or take a decade) to seek out strange backwater worlds and less advanced civilizations, to boldly return to where we had once been before..."

And what would Sisko have said at the beginning of Deep Space Nine? Would it be along the lines of:

"Space, the final frontier. These are the adventures of the stationary space station in deep space, Deep Space Nine. Its indefinite mission to wait for stuff to happen; for new life and new civilizations to come to it; to boldly sit here where no-one has sat before...."
