Callisto Class was the poor relation to Miranda Class, as both were co-developed, Callisto being commissioned a few years later though. Miranda spawned several variants over the next few decades and served well in to the late 24th century. Callisto, being a weaker performer, and less favoured Light Cruiser did not continue production, and all 17 original ships were out of service by 2328.
