Late 23rd Century Light Cruiser, with the specialist designation of Surveyor. The expansive Borilae Corridor was first surveyed and charted by a team of Mariner and Ambassador Class ships. One ship, The Philadelphia, encountered an at the time unknown alien vessel in this region, which in fact was a Cardassian cruiser, and hence, this first meeting brought about first contact with the Cardassian Union, in 2323.

*A ship would visit drydock for many reasons, including refits, repairs, servicing upgrades, preliminary trials and testing of new components, and spacedock for similar reasons, as well as crew rotation, reassignment, prep period before redeployment, and so forth.
