This is my initial concept for the Utopia Class - a Sovereign variant of the Challenger Class type up/down nacelle configuration.

This a variant which is also a possible design for the final Utopia prototype (USS Oceana). I'm not sure which one to go with, as yet.

Finalised a couple of years after its Sovereign older brother, Utopia Class was held back until the Dominion war concluded, so it didn't go into full production until about 2375. This Sovereign variant is akin to the New Orleans and Challenger Classes, for instance, being smaller variants of the Galaxy. Developed at Utopia Planitia, the Utopia was built alongside a kind of proto-Utopia, the Oceana, an earlier prototype sporting a different nacelle arrangement, but no further ships are planned to be built in this sub-class. From the officially commissioned prototype one further vessel in the Utopia Class has been completed.
