CONJECTURAL CLASSES: INTRODUCTION

Other than the class vessels that have been listed so far (there's about 50 officially) there are certainly many more (see Class Stats Board). These include other starship classes as well as dozens of more minor ones, including freighters, medical ships, transports and so forth, not to mention the myriad shuttles, fighters and auxiliary craft that are listed…

From the 22nd century I've so far outlined six possible classes of ship, representing the type of fleet vessels that may have existed during this time. But these are six classes amongst many supposedly from this era. I figured, if there are so many class ships around in the 24th Century, that had to be the case in times past too.

The layout is the same as from the other class manifests, with a conjectured design, class specs, and a listing of ships commissioned from that class. Eventually, I plan to create individual pages and class designs for all of the classes on the Stats Board page (that'll keep me busy for a couple of years!)

What I've tried to do here is make these designs and stats appear plausible. You'll notice I've taken many liberties, filling in gaps and loopholes to make it all jell, by explaining away how such a large fleet might work, and what part each class vessel might play. But I must say, what isn't established fact to the Star Trek Universe is pure fiction; of my own whimsical creation.
