Large and powerful Heavy Cruiser planned throughout the late 2350's and early 60's. As an initial advanced concept prototype the Bradbury spawned 4 offspring from the original. Production orders for further Bradbury constructions were delayed due to uncertainties in the vessels' experimental warp propulsion enhancements. New field coils and a type of phase transition coupling were installed to solve several long term propulsion efficiency problems by boosting Cochrane output and tempering quantum drag by eliminating the common magnetic fluctuations in the subspace domain. But it produced mixed results in the field, and pending further development, a new batch of Bradburys may be constructed with only traditional Warp engines... So problematic have they been, the top brass will not endorse additional Bradbury Class ships until the these difficulties have been fully eradicated... Currently, Bradbury Class starships are seemingly guinea pigs for many established, and failed technologies and new innovations, particularly in weapons and warp propulsion.

O= Operational
OR= Operational after Refit or Repairs

*A ship would visit drydock for many reasons, including refits, repairs, servicing upgrades, preliminary trials and testing of new components, and spacedock for similar reasons, as well as crew rotation, reassignment, prep period before redeployment, and so forth.

The listed specifications for ship classes are partly hypothetical, but some data such as ship lengths, weapon stats and crew complements are in some cases canon. For an explanation on the specs, and what the Ship designations mean, see Spec Definitions.
