Prototype for new class of Runabout that has recently been fully commissioned into the field after undergoing extensive field tests. Not precisely a replacement to Danube, though both are very similar, but the Yellowstone has a newly developed Tetryon Plasma warp drive. In addition to speed and range, this will also be a larger and more advanced addition to this area of the fleet. Current production efforts have been put on hold though until various technical difficulties have been solved. This is due to the sensitive Tetyron Plasma warp drive systems, which have proven to be more difficult to mass produce with quick turnaround rates, which is required for small Runabout-Type ships.

*A ship would visit drydock for many reasons, including refits, repairs, servicing upgrades, preliminary trials and testing of new components, and spacedock for similar reasons, as well as crew rotation, reassignment, prep period before redeployment, and so forth.

The listed specifications for ship classes are partly hypothetical, but some data such as ship lengths, weapon stats and crew complements are in some cases canon. For an explanation on the specs, and what the Ship designations mean, see Spec Definitions.
